How to have an opinion
Read. Read books, read reviews, read the newspaper. Read websites. Learn about the world around you and how it relates to yourself.
Consider. Consider the things you value. And the things you don’t. Recognize that you have a system of values, and while you could believe everything has value, your choices demonstrate you value some things more than others.
Listen. Listen to the voices of others as they are speaking. Hear not only their spoken words, but their unspoken truths. Who are they? What experiences have they had? What do they believe?
Find people with whom you agree with. Listen to them. Talk to them. Debate with them. Understand their viewpoints.
